As Rome became more Christian, the priests moved the spring holiday as ‘Lupercalia Festival’ from the 15th of February to the 14th of February – Valentine’s Day Romantic images. Now the holiday honored Saint Valentine. It is the second largest festival celebrated after Christmas in the West.
